Wedding Centerpiece in glass and Natural wood, by lantern cozies
I make these large wood cozies to perfectly slip over glass cylinder vases and create these gorgeous lanterns. I make them in my home near Toronto, Canada.
My daughter was marrying in the garden of our home and I couldn't find hurricane lamps, or lanterns or whatever they’re called that were both simple and beautiful - So I made them.
The original design has been tweaked to be more practical in daily use and more styles have been added ‘cause I like to change things up (all the time).
I design all my lanterns and then cut the wood cozies from natural woods. I don't outsource the work, I make the lanterns from start to finish.
I use artificial candles such as those sold by luminara. My husband, the engineer, has tested using live flame tea-lights and they work out really well but, of course, use carefully at your own risk. I recommend artificial candles.
I offer three wood species to match your decor, please visit my shop for details.
